Hotel Room Reservation/Bed and Breakfast Reservation

(Integration with the map and fast search engine)

This is an example of the interactive project with powerful database and payment transaction module. The client has the access to the up-to date information and can select, reserve, and put deposit on the room, apartment, house - from anywhere in the World - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

One central server is responsible for the maintenance of the latest information - there can not be double overbooking and price of the room can be updated at the last minute - i.e. if the hotel has a lot of empty rooms not reserved it can lower prices to fill the capacity. The hotel management can implement "just in time" marketing strategy.- adjust prices daily according to the supply and demand dynamics.

The project could grow incrementally -

  1. HOTEL/Pension reservation - larger and more expensive hotels with good phone/fax - even Internet in the future
  2. Bed and Breakfast - smaller sub-rentals
  3. Apartment Renting

Development and Marketing

  1. CyberCarte makes a prototype of the rental/reservation module - Czech, German, English (see Functionality below)
  2. CyberCarte markets the concept - using the laptop, PowerPoint and local "HD server" to demonstrate to the Hotel/Pension management
  3. If the Hotel has Internet access/local modem access - the communication protocol and form for updating information on the server is established. If for example somebody makes the reservation on the phone, the server MUST be notified as soon as possible. This will be the challenge - keep information synchronized.
  4. Customer makes the reservation from his/her home, public kiosk, etc. on our server. The room capacity data base on the server is decreased by one. The reservation is e-mailed, FAXED, phoned, mailed to the hotel. Hotel MUST confirm the reservation. When the reservation is confirmed the customer is notified and the deposit card transaction is completed.
  5. Confirmation is send back via the e-mail
  6. Payment - the percentage should be about the same what are charging agents at the airport and travel offices.
  7. 16% (example) deposit from the price of the room, maximum $100 at the time of the reservation. The deposit is a fee paid by the credit card to the CyberCarte.
  8. The balance is paid directly to the Hotel when the customer checks in.

Functionality

  1. High performance back-end database - start with 32 bit Access - JPEG pictures
  2. Reservation Module
  3. Scheduling module (integration with Schedule Plus) checking for conflicts etc.
  4. Search by price, location (click on the map), number of rooms, reservation date
  5. VISA transaction for deposit, invoice, etc.
  6. Integration with the Map (Mapa Prahy, Automap, etc.) - each server has CD ROM with the map software

Profit sharing (negotiable) of the 16% -- 10% to the CyberCarte - marketing etc., 6% to the Think-Tech - server maintenance and deposit collections in USA.

Future plans are to develop custom systems by Think-Tech for the clients in USA via outsourcing - the profit will be shared equally (50/50) with IBS.
